The 64th UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2023 held in Barcelona, Spain.

Osool Transportation Solutions, a subsidiary of Sharjah Asset Management, participated in the 64th UITP Global Public Transport Summit 2023 held in Barcelona, Spain. The gathering saw more than 1900 members from over 100 countries and 300 speakers and had a host of discussions across several ideas. Held across a massive 40,000 square meters venue, it had 335 specialized exhibitors and attracted more than 15,000 visitors. Held every two years, the summit is a gathering of global specialists in the field of transportation and mobility. It is a perfect platform for discussions and presentations around the latest technology in infrastructure and other technology platforms in Artificial Intelligence and sustainability. The theme for the summit this year was ‘Public Transportation.. the bright light of the city’ and focused on the importance of providing easy and safe transportation through integrated transportation networks. During the summit, Mr. Khalid Al Kindi, Acting General Manager, Osool Transportation Solutions honored His Excellency Eng. Ismail Al Balooshi, General Manager of Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority on the sidelines of the conference for his efforts and enriching the joint cooperation between the two entities, in the presence of Mr. Moustafa Shalabi, Acting Operations Manager, Osool Transportation Solutions. The participation provided an opportunity to review some of the latest technologies in the areas of taxi and public transportation via field visits and the range of exhibitors. These global best practices will be utilized to further develop the taxi system in the Emirate of Sharjah.
